Our client, a leading Software, Information, and Communication Technologies company, with offices around the globe, is looking for a Software Developerto join their innovative team in Brussels, Belgium.They are a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations, and multinational companies, research, and academic institutes.

Job Type:Contract/Consultant

Max Daily Rate: 432 EUR


Requirements

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Minimum 18 years of combined relevant university studies and professional experience in the IT sector

  • Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, Application design, Modelling tools and Enterprise Architecture

  • Fluent in English and French (both verbal and written)

  • Thorough knowledge and programming practice in Java, Angular (version 2 and above),PostgreSQL, Oracle RDBMS

  • In deep knowledge and practice of REST services architecture development, JavaScript, Linux shell scripting, and Agile methodologies

  • Good knowledge of Relational DBMS and business process analysis

  • Knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus)

  • Ability to learn and understand quickly new business domains and complex processes, to understand quickly user needs and to discuss the functional requirements directly with business representatives or with the business analyst

  • Ability to be involved in the project in order to understand the business and proceses as well as work independently as well as in tight cooperation with other experts and with business stakeholders

  • Experience with Ma3tch, GIT, eUI, HTML5, CSS, Sonar, Selenium, XML, JIRA, Confluence, Ubuntu, RedHat will be considered as an asset

  • Ability to give technical presentations, apply high quality standards, cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design and participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills

  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings in English and French, ease of communication

  • Additional EU languages will be assets

Responsibilities:

  • Design, development and test of complex parts of the information systems;

  • Queries and code optimization (SQL, Java, JavaScript, Shell Script, etc.);

  • Code quality review;

  • Unit, integration and system testing;

  • Requirements gathering using use cases, and user stories;

  • Architecture and design of information systems;

  • Review of the architecture of existing systems;

  • Design and development of architecture components and building blocks;

  • Analysis of the integration of different information systems;

  • Data analysis and data modelling;

  • Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture;

  • Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers;

  • Production of software architecture documents;

  • Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users;

  • Assist during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
