Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Ostend for a Sous Chef. The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, preparing and presenting dishes, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Responsibilities include overseeing daily kitchen activities, optimizing productivity, mentoring kitchen staff, and contributing to menu planning.
Qualifications
- Culinary expertise, including experience in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes
- Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee and mentor kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen operations
- Effective time management and organizational skills to ensure smooth kitchen workflow
- Flexibility, creativity, and passion for the culinary arts
- Relevant culinary degree or certification is preferred but not mandatory
