Sustainability Ambassador – Climate

Job Purpose / Mission :

As Sustainability Ambassador – Climate, you will report to the Sustainability Manager and be part of the Sustainability Department, to drive all activities related to our Carbon Footprint – assessment, action plans for reduction and offsetting, communication – and lead the whole organization as well as our direct stakeholders (suppliers & customers) to the 2030 Net Zero target.

You will liaise with different teams in Headquarter in Brussels, but also with our Bangladesh Liaison Office, our suppliers, our customers and other external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities :

• Together with our external partner, monitor and understand the current Carbon Footprint of Stanley Stella (current ongoing assessment of our Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions along the whole supply chain from cotton fields to product end of life).
• Challenge data and evaluate main opportunities for carbon emissions reduction.
• Develop a strategy and action plan for each step and each stakeholder of the supply chain; align with the relevant stakeholders (suppliers, internal department, ..), define common objectives and actions and follow-up progresses on regular basis.
• Organize task forces (internal or with customers), best practices sharing and be involved in various projects with other departments (logistics, marketing, …) in order to challenge carbon impact of activities.
• Build up a strategy for emissions offsetting with stakeholders along the supply chain and external expert organizations.
• Understand water impacts through the supply chain and develop recommendations to minimize negative impacts along the whole production chain.
• Contribute to a clear and honest internal and external communication about Stanley Stella Climate impact and actions.
• Participate to external events and develop collaboration with external stakeholders where relevant aiming at a stronger impact.

Key requirements & experience

• Genuinely care for the Planet and the People
• Knowledge of Climate challenges and GHG emissions including different scopes (1-3), a first experience in Climate relative field is an asset
• Experience in developing & implementing strategies and action plans to achieve change
• Excellent time and project management skills; ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Organized, analytical sense and detailed focus while being able to see the bigger picture
• Accountable, responsible and result oriented
• Precise and concise in communication, able to positively internal and external stakeholders and lead them to common objectives
• Genuine, integer, honest and able to create good working relationships
• Fluent English (vocal & written)
