• Bring a clear evolution in terms of systems engineering both for existing products and new developments
• Work on the existing stack and improve it accordingly in collaboration with technical teams
• Analyse requirements to take appropriate action whilst keeping in mind availability, efficiency and simplicity
• Exchange regularly with System Administrators to work on the implementation and configuration of our infrastructure solutions
• Build positive relationships with technical and project teams
• Take part in the development of best practise processes, procedures and methods

Who you are

You have a solid knowledge of IT Systems and an engineering mindset allowing you to have a concrete impact on infrastructure. You have worked on complex projects and therefore have no issues to collaborate with stakeholders and specialists.

As an expert, you can challenge and have technical discussion with various people from the IT teams to explain the various choices, defend the various implementations but are also aware to take in constructive feedback or points. The product and its delivery are what matter and overengineering is not the point.

Big discussions and brainstorming can help things move forward, but you are someone who loves concrete work. Hours spent working directly on systems and tackling complex issues is what drives you. This can be lonely sometimes but you thrive on that balance between autonomy and team spirit.

Some of your talents

• Relevant background (academic or not) with several years’ experience with or at least direct implication on complex projects as System Engineer
• Excellent with web servers via Nginx/Apache and with HaProxy loadbalancer
• Experienced with virtual environments (Proxmox or similar) and comfortable with Docker
• Expertise in high availability database (PostGreSQL) and with systems such as Ceph
• Good knowledge of networking/firewall/VPN
• Experienced with configuration management systems such as SaltSack or others (Ansible/Puppet/Chef)
• Knowledge of monitoring system and of stacks such as Telegraf, Prometheus and Grafana
• Some added bonus points could be experience with Kubernetes, Terraform or RabbitMQ
• Structured, stress-resistant and flexible as part of a team
• Knowledge of French is very appreciated and otherwise comfortable with English
