About Our Client

Our client is an international company seeking for a new Transport Manager.

Join a dynamic & growing company and be actor of its development in Liège.

Job Description

As Transport Manager, you will:

  • Manage a team of 100 FTE (direct & indirect report) and subcontractors
  • Guaranty the optimal service level in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Stand for continuous improvement (cost management and optimization, processes optimization and implementation, …)
  • Negotiate, manage, and optimize the partnership with subcontractors
  • Reach your internal & external targets (KPIs and dashboard management)
  • Recruit, manage and train your team to maximize performance and develop their potentials
  • Stand for the application of HSE Standards
  • Build and manage the P&L
  • Develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including the local unions representatives

The Successful Applicant

Profile - Transport Manager :

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position ideally in for a 3PL or a Distribution center
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong leader and analytic skills
  • Experience dealing with in-sourced and out-sourced transport
  • Knowledge in Customer experience sustainability
  • Fluent in French, Dutch and English
