The role can be based either in Vilvoorde (Belgium), or Düsseldorf (Germany)

You will support progress in implementation of C&A’s New Sustainability Strategy 2028, and engaging with stakeholder groups, with a focus on Consumers, Employees and EU policy makers. You meet with External and Internal Stakeholders and policy officials to provide input about C&A sustainability strategy and gather intelligence that will be used internally to help implement our strategy further.

Your Responsibilities At C&A
  • Work closely with Marketing and Corp Comms to ensure that their approaches effectively deliver movement in consumer insights KPIs
  • Support the implementation of the company’s Transparency Framework and the Consumer goal of the New Sustainability Strategy
  • Support in continuously linking the implementation of the company’s Transparency Framework with traceability projects & initiatives in the business
  • Support the development and implementation of employee trainings for sustainability (in retail) for all departments in close collaboration with the subject matter experts
  • Lead and implement the EU Policy approach for C&A, including coordination of national regulatory developments in relation to sustainability
  • Lead C&A’s position and engagement in European and country level sustainable textile partnerships and national associations, in coordination with the retail market teams (Policy Hub, Eurocommerce, national working groups)
  • Organise and coordinate policy network across critical retail countries. Lead the completion of our action plans
What We Expect Of You
  • At least 5 years similar experience in the fashion industry working with demanding stakeholders and government officials
  • Sustainability background
  • Fluent in English, ideally good command of German or French
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Public speaking skills
  • Ability to obtain buy-in and get things done
