Job Description:

Our client, a leading and fast-growing organisation in its sector, is seeking an accomplished Finance & Accounting Managerto join its Brussels headquarters. This is a strategic role combining financial leadership with hands-on accounting oversight, offering direct impact on the organisation’s performance, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee and manage all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Belgian GAAP and/or IFRS.

· Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, including consolidation across multiple entities.

· Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management.

· Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key financial ratios; manage relationships with banks and external stakeholders.

· Drive improvements in financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

· Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and business growth.

· Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.

· Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

· Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent.

· At least 8 years of relevant experience in audit, controlling, or financial management, ideally with exposure to both corporate and consultancy environments.

· Solid expertise in accounting principles, consolidation, and financial reporting.

· Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP; IFRS expertise required, US GAAP is a plus.

· Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, MS Dynamics, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

· Fluency in French and Dutch is required. English is an asset.

· Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

· Proven leadership experience in managing and developing teams.
