Finance & Business Controller - Retail - Brussels West

Our client is a Benelux leader in the retail sector. In order to support their development in Belgium, we are currently looking for a Financial & Business Controller.

Their offices are located in Brussels West.

The Financial and Business Controller will be part of a team of 4 controllers. He / she will work at a Benelux scope and will report directly to the Group Controlling Manager. His / her main tasks will consist in:

• Being in charge of the reporting for the different brands of the group (revenue, margins, …);
• Managing the IT-Controlling and acting as a Business Partner for the Head of IT;
• Monitoring and evaluating the CAPEX;
• Being in charge of the budgets and monthly follow-up;
• Taking part to the monthly and yearly closing and reporting activities;
• Working closely with the Accounting and Business Controlling teams;
• Participating in the optimization of processes.

The ideal Financial & Business Controller will be meeting the following criteria:

• Holding a University degree in Finance / Economics / Business Engineering / Accounting;
• Having at least 3 years of experience in a Controlling function. An experience in the retail sector is a plus ;
• Having a knowledge of IFRS ;
• Being fluent in English with a good level of French and / or Dutch ;
• Having an excellent knowledge of Excel. Experience on SAP FI/CO is a plus ;
• Being dynamic, loving challenges and want to evolve in a fast-growing society ;
• Having the capacity to work autonomously as well as in a team;
• Willing to take initiative and evolving to a managing position on a short-term basis.
