Senior Finance | 10+ years’ experience | French Dutch English | 6500-8500 monthly salary | Permanent contract

For an international company active in the real estate sector and located in Brussels, Hays is looking for an ambitious Senior Financial Controller.

Your role

  • Monitoring, optimizing and coordinating the month-end closing process
  • Improving the efficiency of financial processes, risk management and reporting processes
  • Managing and overseeing the AR, AP and bank reconciliations
  • Drawing the cash flow forecast of the different entities/countries you’re responsible for
  • Maintaining good relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Being one of the main points of contact for external auditors
  • Preparing the annual financial statements for the different entities
  • Responsible for the month-quarter and year-end closing (as well as the P&L accounts and balance sheet)
  • Overseeing the monthly payrolls
  • Overseeing the VAT
  • Managing one to two finance professionals in your team
  • Maintaining good relationships with the SSC abroad

Your profile

  • Fluency in French, Dutch and English
  • At least 10 years’ experience in financial control or finance management
  • Strong accounting background
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS as well as local payroll requirements and local taxes
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
