Job Description Financial Project Manager

Softhale NV is a Belgium-based respiratory pharma company (Diepenbeek) focused on the development of pharmaceutical products delivered to the lungs by our next generation Soft Mist Inhalation (SMI) device. The development results are medications to treat for example COPD or Asthma. Softhale will commercialize these products on an international basis.

The Financial Project Manager supports Softhale’s entire process of all (R&D) projects that have an impact on Softhale’s numbers and future revenues.

Responsibilities

Financial planning for Development

· Supports the development team with developing budgets, tracking vs Budget, ensuring approvals and making payments in alignment with detailed Technical Project Plans

· Supports the development team with purchase orders, tracking and producing monthly reports on status of Pipeline in terms of technical and financial status for Management and Board meetings

  • Financial planning for Softhale*

· In alignment with external providers, supports Softhale Management with the compilation and tracking of budgets including preparing and providing monthly reports for internal purposes and reporting to the Softhale owner (invoX Pharma / Sino).

· Leading Forecasting & Budgeting process down to a product and device unit level (based on latest manufacturing plan, supplier costs, overhead costs, shipping etc.) and to support and track pipeline valuation

· Works with internal and external stakeholders to raise invoices and ensure payments are processed including entering on respective finance systems

· Supports with regards to Annual Audits, Tax advice and preparation of financial statements and annual reports

Requirements

· Education: bachelor or master in applied economics, accounting, commercial engineering or equivalent experience

· All-rounder, self-starter, hands-on mentality; someone with experience in R&D, a strong communicator, who will not be put aside easily

· Team player, no 9-to-5 mentality, willing to contribute to the further success of Softhale

· English fluent both in speech and writing

· Needs to be familiar with all Belgium / Flemish finance and tax legislations

· Experience with IP Box, taxation rules related to R&D regulations and grant activities is a plus

The Financial Project manager reports directly to Softhale’s COO. There will be close contact and interaction with the Financial Director of invoX Pharma Ltd in London, a fully owned subsidiary of Sino Biopharmaceuticals, Softhale’s new owner as of March 2021.
