Resilux is a pioneering company specializing in the production and sale of PET preforms and bottles. You might recognize our preforms and bottles as the packaging for water, soft drinks, milk, and more. Our core activities include the injection molding of PET preforms and the blowing of bottles, primarily for liquids such as water, soft drinks, milk, beer, wine, oils, sauces, and more. We also have our own mechanical recycling capacity, transforming PET packaging into new granules for the production of fresh bottles and preforms.

With 30 years of industry experience, Resilux is a well-established name in the sector. Our headquarters are in Wetteren, but our production, services and products extend beyond borders, including Spain, Hungary, Switzerland, and the US. We are currently looking for an:

Application Specialist Western-Europe

As an Application Specialist for W-Europe (Benelux, France, UK, Scandinavia), you will collaborate with regional account managers to translate the Resilux value proposition to the market and customers. You will contribute to business growth by optimizing the product and customer mix and efficiently coordinating information between the local sales organization and the production, technical, and R&D departments. This role involves both external (customer visits, fairs, exhibitions) and internal (market needs translation) responsibilities. You report to the regional sales manager.

Your Responsibilities:

External Responsibilities:

• Visit customers with local account managers to provide technical assistance (support, claim handling, new product introductions).
• Attending fairs and exhibitions to position Resilux as an innovative PET packaging company.
• Support and advise account managers in identifying new market leads and business potential, focusing on technical products and services.
• Follow up on and report new projects and customer samples.
• Maintain technical relationships with suppliers (blowing machines, cap manufacturers) for new developments and innovations.
• Identify and translate new technologies and market trends to the Resilux organization, suggesting improvements for products and services.

Internal Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and follow up on projects, organizing regular internal meetings.
• Create high-end technical documentation and presentations for sales purposes.
• Collaborate with the R&D team in later stages of product development to prepare for market introduction.
• Support production, technical, and R&D departments to optimize product quality and cost-efficiency.
• Organize Capex calculations with the technical and sales departments, preparing investment proposals for approval.
• Organize customer testing, validation, and reporting in cooperation with external labs.
• Decide on preform offerings based on technical performance and production capacity, considering customer requirements.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor or master degree in chemistry or equivalent education.
• Your mother tongue is Dutch, and you are fluent in English.
• Demonstrated commercial skills in a technical environment, working with technical products.
• Experience in the plastic packaging industry is a plus, but not mandatory. We welcome candidates eager to learn and grow in this field.
• Basic knowledge of customer conversion processes and value chains.
• Team player with effective interpersonal relationship skills.
• Excellent communicator, open and transparent.
• Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail.
• Effective at recognizing opportunities.
