The Role
Within the Engineering department of the Industrial Air Division we currently have a vacancy for an Approval & Legislation Engineer. You are responsible for the follow-up of various legislations, standards and Inspections. You build up the knowledge to work on this, in a correct and cost-efficient way and strive for continuous improvement of these processes.

Your tasks consist of:
  • Follow-up of standards/inspections/legislations that are applicable to the Industrial Air worldwide product range.
  • Create Synthesis/guidelines make imposed standards and legal provisions, for the different engineering teams.
  • Figuring out the best way to meet the different global requirements standards/approvals.
  • Discussions on this with various bodies. This implies guiding the inspections in production by the inspector.
  • Being the point of contact for questions regarding legislation within the division
  • Support the various engineering teams to be able to release the products which conform to the applicable legislation.
  • Support the global sourcing projects and the interaction of suppliers related to standards/inspections.
  • Troubleshooting in case of difficult problems with standards/inspections.
  • Supervising and conducting internal audits
  • Managing the QA manual of Engineering, certificates for local legislation
  • Managing COC (Certificate of Conformity), DOC (Declaration of Conformity), UKCA DoC (UKCA Declaration of Conformity), cCSAus Certification, EAC Certification, GS Certification, ULcUL Certification
  • Striving for continuous improvement of the processes associated with the above points mentioned
  • Participating in and following up on new developments regarding standards and inspections in the official international working groups.
  • Member of the draft assessment team for standards/inspections.

You will report to the Team Leader Engineering.

What we expect of you?
Knowledge
  • Strong technical background
  • Good Knowledge of components with regard to standards/inspections
  • Experience in an engineering environment (preferably experience with standards/inspections)
  • Good knowledge of English.

Educational Requirements
Master or Bachelor’s degree in industrial sciences or equivalent by experience
