Description of the function

Are you passionate by the EU environment and/or audio visual archives ? Are you open for a new challenging opportunity with the European Institutions in Brussels in the audio-visual domain? Then check the below!

Our International Organization (IO) department is looking for an Audiovisual Archivistperson that could assist the audio-visual team of our client with the following:

  • Management of audio-visual assets (photo, videos, audios) of the audio-visual library of the European Commission;
  • Creation and thematic classification of projects about events occurred at the European Commission and covered by the Audio-visual service (in video, photo and audio);
  • Correction and/or update of the thesaurus of personalities.
  • Participation in thesaurus meetings

Profile description

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Library and Information Science or in a relevant field for the job

Good knowledge and experience with:

  • Microsoft Office package more specifically Excel,
  • Good capacity in using (web)search engines
  • Good capacity of analysis and information search
  • Can work mainly independently and respect deadlines
  • Good command of English,
  • Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus
  • Interest in the Audiovisual sector is a plus
  • Good understanding of the European Institutions is a plus
