Job Description

The Big Data Consultant advises organizations about big data, big data strategies, the implementation of big data, which technologies best fit the needs of the organization and even implements the selected big data solution. A big data consultant therefore should have business experience as well as sound technical knowledge of a broad range of big data tools.


Qualifications

· The ability to program in languages such as: Python, R, Java, Pig or SQL

· Understanding of Hadoop, Hive, PIG, HBase, MongoDB, MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, Scala

· Excellent presentation skills and good communication skills.

· Ability to understand business needs

· A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer science or similar

- Fluent in Dutch and/or French (one of this language is mandatory) and a good working knowledge of English
