Job Purpose and Impact

The Biodiesel Sr. Contract Improvement Expert will be responsible for the coordination of pricing and contracting activities for all customers. In this role, you will support process implementations and governance across contracts, pricing, contracted volume and futures, assist with complex price builds for top customers and handle master data stewardship, contract settlement and daily communications with sales account managers, strategic pricing and customers.

This position is located in Cargill’s Biodiesel business, a growing business with various supply chains to manage: from our biodiesel production facilities to trading terminals and worldwide commodity imports and exports. The Biodiesel & Glycerin business has constantly been growing over the past years, and will further develop in future with our new plant MIDAS being built. Key Accountabilities

Accomplish objectives by evaluating internal/external contract activities and the content for the biodiesel market: physical oil, paper, tickets & renewable
Analyze market and contract data to spot trends and model results and opportunities. By providing direction and support on contract expertise to the biodiesel group in order to facilitate growth and development on contract execution
Calculate and handle contract pricing requests based on customer supply agreements, spot market prices, and enter quotes and opportunities into the database
Track contract performance and ensure customers, sales and trading comply with trading requirements
Execute the new customer set-up processes and maintain customer master data to ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing
Apply correct contracts to open customer sales orders and partner with relevant stakeholders to resolve unclear points in the arrangements and coordinate with the responsible departments to find solutions
Handle the settlement of all contracts, including rolling balances to correct trade month, amendments and any reconciliation for customer account statements necessary to support both internal and external customers
Handle the complex customer sample process, validate operator agreements for compliance and entry into the appropriate database
Actively identify improvement opportunities and develop solutions, including the root cause analysis process
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating more difficult issues to appropriate staff
Focus on implementing continuous improvements on our processes and managing multiple ERP & CRM systems projects, etc. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Ability to effectively represent the business from a commercial perspective to customers
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with production or manufacturing environment
Very good level of experience in the contract management/procurement/field
Demonstrated strong communication skills with the ability to positively influence stakeholders
Pro-active and growth mindset
Detail-oriented, organized, flexible and to set priorities and juggle multiple demands
