Job Summary
As Business Controller you take on the role of Finance Business Partner for dedicated departments and bases in the Group. You provide Management with valuable reports and insight into the business to support operational and strategic decision making. You are responsible for preparing, developing and analyzing management accounting information and delivering high-quality reports providing insights into key business drivers.
You interpret results and identify trends proactively, highlight issues, and work in partnership with the business to plan appropriate actions.
Responsabilities & Areas

  • Responsible for the adequate monthly reporting activities including P&L analysis, profitability analysis, country reporting and cost follow-up;
  • Challenge overhead expenses and create cost awareness of management;
  • Analysis of maintenance expenses and improvement program in close corporation with the technical department and different bases;
  • Prepare budget, business plan and forecast for assigned departments/bases and contribute to the long-term plans;
  • Make pricing and provide input for tender process for assigned bases/countries;
  • Translate base overviews in full legal entity overviews and ensure complete oversight on all country aspects in terms of business control;
  • Assist in ad hoc analysis, pricing and tender process;
  • Interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to identify risks & opportunities;
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and calculations to support decision making in various areas;
  • Assist and help with CAPEX investment cases, new contracts and business cases.

Experience

  • You have a Bachelor or Master in Economics or similar;
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience;
  • Affinity with both business and finance. Healthy business acumen.

Skills

  • ICT-literate: Excellent skills in Excel and experience with Power BI is an asset;
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch and good knowledge of French;
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
