The Channel Marketing lead - Modern Life - North (Windows/M365/Surface) is the subject matter expert for the PC aisle business, helping our Consumer Channel & Partner Marketers in the North region (Benelux & Nordics) to land and activate product priorities, readiness & execution across the partner base. This role will have end-to-end responsibility, including landing visual merchandising assets, digital activation and transformation on partner.com sites and demo platform sell-in. You will also work closely with Partner Activation Leads to influence conversion online & in-store through training, evangelism and direct sales motions.
You will drive the strategy, investment priorities, goals by line of business through engagement with the EMEA and Geo Channel and Partner Marketing teams and Category management.
You will act as a thought leader, a trusted advisor to drive strategic decisions about our marketing investment strategy and marketing mix across digital platforms, in-store presence, and retail activation teams. You’re an omnichannel expert, adept at inspiring partners to accelerate their digital transformation and adopt, experiment and innovate with us. You’ll be a champion of the brand and an evangelist of our connected product stories as you think globally while acting locally.
You’ll drive impact by leveraging data and insights in order to create more personalized experiences and maximize ROI. Your passion for our products and our partners will guide the team toexcellence, a strong focus on ROI and accountability to brand advocacy and sell-through.
Responsibilities
Drive readiness and earn fans by leveraging Consumer Channel & Partner Marketing strategies & tactics
Strategic Business & Marketing Planning (30%)
- Translate Worldwide Channel Marketing & Category management plans into actionable strategies Guidance for the North Channel Partner marketers creating local alignment to Worldwide seasonal planning guidelines
- Work with Geos to help create medium and long-term full funnel plans in line with seasonal planning to maintain retail channel momentum through the product life cycle and follow the key retail selling seasons
- Guide GEOs to anticipate needs of the selling seasons and industry trends and deliver feedback to support
- Engage with Category Managers toward OEM & Silicon partners to boosting the windows eco-system
- Plan all upcampaign investments (incl. retailer account allocation)
- Align with Gaming teams to build Gaming Campaign solutions within Modern life programs
- Translate category management plans coordinating marketing efforts at the local level between sales, category management, and internal support teams (visual merchandising, field labor & training, and Digital) to facilitate successful retail programs, training, promotions, and events
- Buildconsistent Channel Marketing programs that achievs required goals and aligns with Corp guidance and aligning any required changes with corporate Channel Marketing
- Ensure effective and efficient process and tools are in place for asset / content production for product launches / key beats / programs across hardware & software and scale across channels as appropriate
- Build seamless and synchronized shopper journeys/experiences for the Channel Partner marketers to implement
- Differentiate Windows, Surface & M365 from the competition buy building connected product stories that are locally relevant
- Ownership of the localisation of global campaigns & creatives to regional nuances and partner requirements
- Production of POS and VM materials and coordination of implementation and ongoing maintenance/updates
- Leverage Training and Evangelism resources and curriculum (Influence) to ensure consumption and support
- Coordinate with Channel Partner marketers to provide real-time feedback to Corp Business Leads on campaign implementation and effectiveness
- Use results of analysis to learn from success and failures and share this with GEOs
- Indirect leadership with outcomes
- Impact and Influence without authority to versatile audiences both internal and external
- Effectively communicates the business strategy, describes and holds team accountable to key goals.
- Work with subsidiaries to maintain budgets and maximize ROI
- Demonstrate creativity and entrepreneurial behavior while staying on strategy
- Ensure countries are aligned, inclusive of Digital.
- Agency management
- Procure and assimilate consumer behavior into insights within the context of the sub-region a consumer profiles to drive unified sell-thru plans
- Maximize ROI on future activities by measuring and optimizing marketing campaigns, promotions performance and sell-thru.
- Anticipate and discover competitor’s activities and adjust retail marketing programs to counter.
- Work with GEOs (Benelux & Nordics) to analyze the partner’s existing marketing capabilities in order to recognize and execute on specific local needs
- Collaborate with World Wide and EMEA Channel and Local teams to develop marketing plans, inclusive of Digital, addressing upcoming selling seasons and industry trends.
- Gather and synthesize data from retailer partners, Microsoft, and industry resources to form actionable learnings and tactics.
Minimum Requirments
- relevant experience in Retail/Channel Marketing/Marketing/Retail Sales
- Track record of marketing excellence and ROI through planning, operations-savvy, creative , readiness and analytics/insights
- Marketing/Business Bachelors Degree
- Proven success at marketing planning - particularly with Consumer Technology products
- Strategic business planning
- Executive & Intercultural communication skills

- New product launch exerience
