For the Corporate Finance division at our headquarters in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for a Corporate Financing & Hedging Manager (m/f/x).

The Corporate Finance department manages the Group’s cash flow and debt and acts as service centre for the affiliates. It ensures that the Group is able to meet its financial obligations and have sufficient financial means to implement its strategy and investment programme. It is taking care to maintain a diversified portfolio of financial counterparties, taking into account market conditions and uncertainties. Corporate Finance is also responsible for the management of risks related to foreign exchange, interest rates and counterparty risks.

Your
responsibilities

Corporate and Project Financing

• In collaboration with the Corporate Finance Manager, you will ensure suitable and competitive financing of the group’s financial needs
• You will propose and design the most appropriate type of debt taking into account the group strategy & policies. You will go to the capital market and lead financing projects, negotiate the best financing conditions and finalise the transactions
• You will evaluate the interest of sustainable finance & ESG instruments and propose the most appropriate options for Fluxys activities

Hedging & risks

• Together with the back-office team, you will monitor and report on interest rates, exchange rates and liquidity risks. You will propose appropriate hedging transactions and negotiate best foreign exchange and hedging conditions

Group treasury management

• You will carry out daily treasury activities and maximise the return on financial investments and optimise cash management by monitoring short-term deposits and financing

Stakeholder management

• You will work with and maintain an active network of relationships with banks, institutional investors and other financial market players
• You will monitor markets conditions and develop market intelligence, and provide financing advisory services to a wide range of internal stakeholders (M&A, business development, subsidiaries). You will contribute to financial due diligence exercises by providing accurate and timely information

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Engineering
• A relevant experience of at least 10 years in Corporate Finance
• Proven expertise in corporate finance: concrete experience in corporate and project financing, hedgingand cash-flow management
• Very strong analyticalskills
• Intrinsic ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with diverseinternal and external stakeholders
• Excellent communication, negotiationand influencing skills
• Strong commitment, impactand result orientation
• The ability to integrate easily into a reactive, demandingand changing environment
• A keen interest in the energy transition and related sustainable financeconcepts
• Fluency in English, Dutch and/or French
