Join our dynamic Finance department at the headquarters of ScioTeq in Kortrijk as Cost Controller and play a crucial role in managing and optimizing costs to drive the company’s financial success. The objective is to have an accurate and compliant cost follow-up and you have the opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization by implementing cost-effective measures and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

You monitor and follow the site performance versus Plan or Target, i.e. costs, margins, inventory. You are responsible for valuation, reporting, excess and obsolete calculation, follow up and reconciliations:

  • You follow, analyse and challenge the inventory including the E&O provision.
  • You follow, analyse and challenge direct labor efficiency, purchase costs, consumables.
  • You follow, analyse and challenge indirect costs not dedicated to business units.
  • You review, reconcile and report physical inventory counts.
  • You collaborate with the business to prepare and present financial reports.
  • You will report to the FP&A Manager.
  • A Master’s degree in Finance or Business.
  • A first experience (1-3 years) in a similar position in a production or audit environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting rules (BE GAAP) and of IFRS is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in database management systems (Baan-ERP, Reporting, etc.)
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Dutch.
