Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Customer Service Officer EU to take our brands (Unistrut, Vergokan, Flexicon) to the next level. The Customer Service Officer EU will be responsible for serving their customer portfolio with excellence, from the first contact through to invoicing. They will prepare quotations, handle and follow up on orders, express requests, complaints, returns, special requests, and availability questions. As the primary point of contact, they will manage customer interactions and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess strong language skills (native Dutch speaker, fluent in both written and spoken French and English, and a solid knowledge of German is a significant plus). They should be accustomed to working with SAP and/or Salesforce, be accurate and flexible, have a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and have solid experience in a similar role within the industrial sector. Experience in lean manufacturing or working in a business system-based company is a plus. As this is a sedentary position, the Dutch native speaking candidate should live within a 30-minute drive of our organization in Oudenaarde, Belgium.

What you’ll do:

  • Process and follow up on clients and orders in the ERP System (SAP)
  • Answer questions via phone, chat or email regarding product availability
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure smooth order processing (EDI orders, email, Portal, Salesforce)
  • Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding volume requests, delivery time etc
  • Request transportation and resolve any delivery issues
  • Handle technical questions from customers
  • Analyze and prepare quotations based on specifications and follow up in CRM - Salesforce
  • Follow up on Customer Portal requests
  • Process and follow up on express shipments, complaints and returns
  • Follow up on required documents and certificates for export customers
What you’ll bring:

  • Strong language knowledge (Dutch, French and English and preferably German)
  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree and solid experience in a similar role within the industrial sector
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, SAP and/or Salesforce
  • Knowledge of customs legislation and export procedures is a bonus
  • Accuracy and custom-oriented work are important to you

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Understand how your role contributes to Atkore’s strategy.
  • Become familiar with our product range through training and customer feedback/experience
Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Manage, input and follow-up orders for your customer portfolio
  • Handle and follow up complaints, returns and special requests
  • Respond to basic technical questions
  • Collaborate with your sales colleague to empower cross functional sales.
  • Identify ways to strengthen customer relationships in alignment with Atkore’s core values: Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
Within 12 months, you’ll:

  • Analyze, prepare and create quotations
  • Manage an efficient client portfolio that supports Atkore’s strategy.
  • Engage in meaningful, solution-orientated conversations with clients, keeping all brands in mind.
  • Resolve any client issues effectively
