As our Data Management Officer, you will define Barco’s wider scope of global master data, in a hybrid landscape.

You will be part of the data team in Kortrijk and will collaborate within an international team of data and process experts. You will work in close collaboration with our EDM team (Enterprise Data Management ), our central supporting organization for specific master data objects.

Key Responsibilities
  • You drive initiative for implementation and adoption of the business glossary and data catalog as a central metadata repository.
  • You collaborate with business and IT towards a single view on master data and transactional data in a hybrid technology landscape.
  • You support business and IT in defining and documenting data elements.
  • You partner with the data architect to identify and manage data products.
  • You build a master data roadmap.
  • You work in close collaboration with our MDM team (Master Data Management ), our central supporting organization for specific master data objects.
  • You establish dashboards for Data Quality.

Your profile
  • Experience managing data & metadata, data stewardship and/or data governance across various business domains and technology stacks.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business teams, as well as business concepts to IT teams.
  • You have change management skills to align stakeholders with different viewpoints and drive them towards common standards.
  • Knowledge on SAP BW & Microsoft Azure is a plus.
  • Experience with a data catalog platform is a plus.
  • Experience with dashboard software Power BI is a plus.
