The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

You Will Make An Impact By

As an EHS Engineer, you provide your expertise and leadership to improve the environmental footprint of the company’s operations. You collaborate with and support the different departments of the site.

YourPrimary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

  • You are part of the EHS Team and will support the site with the realization of its EHS objectives
  • Initiate and support environmental improvement projects
  • Support projects with permit applications and compliance checks
  • Checking compliance with existing and new legislation
  • Manage sustainability data (e.g. carbon, water, enegery) to monitor our alignment with our stratgeies and objectives
  • Support other departments on site with your environmental expertise to enhance sustainable improvement
  • Be a driving force in implementing a sustainability mindset through awareness initiatives and training sessions

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering with knowledge of Chemistry and Environmental aspects
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • A reliable organizational talent with high ethical values and strong communication skills
  • A team player, able to work with a wide variety of people in different roles
  • Strong technical and data evaluation skills.
  • A problem-solver, looking for opportunities for continuous improvement

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include

  • The Degree of Environmental Coordinator Level A is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position is a big plus but not a prerequisite.
