Do you have knowledge & experience in event management with Project management capabilities? Then we have a new opportunity for you as Event Specialistin the Cochlear Academy Team.The Event Specialist for all event management initiatives and associated activities for Cochlear Academy, for both virtual and face-to-face events. The role will also support EMEA-owned events. This will be a highly visible role as you will manage relationships with several internal and external stakeholders, ensuring Cochlear is professionally represented in all relevant international conferences. For events in-scope, this position is responsible to plan, organize, monitor and evaluate such events, ensuring alignment with market regulations and requirements, strategic objectives, and corporate / regional compliance and legal guidelines.Key Responsibilities
  • Own all aspects of Cochlear Academy (CA) event coordination and management for both internal and external events within the EMEA region, including, but not limited to, ensuring alignment to business objective(s), proposing theme, venue, agenda, managing logistics, and managing events compliantly
  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for all communications related to Professional/Healthcare Professional (HCP) events/courses within EMEA region organized by Cochlear Academy
  • Liaise with EMEA Marketing teams to ensure best use of existing materials and when necessary, develop needed marketing materials intended to support the objective of the given event, ensuring all materials adhere to Cochlear brand guidelines
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure events are planned and managed effectively and efficiently, and facilitate proper flow of information and communication to all relevant stakeholders
  • Manage the financial impact of events, all topics relating to compliance of event activities, including the coordination of compliance reviews of activities, podium presentations, etc.
  • Stay up-to-date on compliance regulations (legal and / or company policy) relevant to events, messaging, content creation, etc., and advise internal and external stakeholders as necessary
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, health sciences or related studies
  • 2+ years of experience in Event Management / Event Coordination, Marketing or international marketing
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to build and maintain transparent communication flow and process
  • Ability to communicate & influence on all levels, tailored to audiences and stakeholders
  • Good interpersonal and relationship building skills in a multi-cultural environment
  • Agile and stress resistant
  • English (excellent verbal & written)
  • At least one other EMEA language (German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian)
IdealWork Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare, life science, medical devices industry
  • Experience in hearing industry
  • Experience in event software (for example Cvent)
  • Risk management experience
Soft Skills
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills and successful application with internal & external stakeholders
