Job Purpose and Impact

The Feedmerchant will handle a customer base and contribute to the PNL by selling feed commodities and other products in line with risk management. We seek an experienced professional for a customer facing role and interested in the feed/grain space with understanding of supply chain and market/ data analysis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Sell feed commodities from our Cargill Starches, Sweetners and Texturisers plants to regional customers. Execute upon the gameplan in line with risk management and maintain/grow customer relationships
  • Collaborate with transportation and logistics, quality assurance, customer managers and credit manager to ensure efficient execution.
  • Originate, procure and sell commodities and livestock to regional customers to reach targetvolumes and gain revenue.
  • Generate market, position and profit and loss reports based on data and specialty reports gathered by junior team members.
  • Research and analyze various freight opportunities in the marketplace to maximize margin.
  • Work directly with customers, suppliers and business counterparts in developing business solutions to meet their needs.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
  • Fluent Dutch and English
