Finance Manager Benelux

Within the France-Benelux Finance department, and reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will oversee the accounting accuracy, suppliers and bank monitoring, and will participate in most of the finance tasks within BIC Benelux scope. Knowledge of statutory rules (accounting, tax…) and accuracy are the key pillars to succeed in this position.

The role is covering Belgium and Netherlands scope, with two P&L entities and teams located in both countries.
This is a permanent position based in our Belgium subsidiary in Jette (greater Brussels).

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory and Accounting

• Accounts Payables local responsible: Monitor contracts and be the main contact with suppliers ; Ensure that all documents and information are timely, accurate and properly recorded in the accountancy (booking of invoices received from our suppliers, reminders management, VAT monitoring, approval process guarantor…) and continuous improvement on digitalization
• Cash management: Make sure that all payments are carried out on-time and accurately + manage pre-payment when needed + Bank reconciliation + Analysis in collaboration with Customer Service on amounts deducted by customers
• Prepare, control and load when needed statutory requirements for both companies (VAT, Intrastat…), including support for the Audit teams visit
• Control the accuracy of declaration made by the Benelux team-members (expenses, holidays...)
• Preparation and booking of documents such as prepaid expenses, bank statements and preparation of monthly closing, including regular reconciliation when needed

Finance Controlling

• Undertake controlling of all cost segments reported in P&L (COGS, FRDC, Brand Support, OPEX, Others) in collaboration with local teams, including dedicated analysis with teams, coordination of process, creation and update of tool to allow proper management decision
• Participation in Rolling Forecast process
• Support local projects
• Ad Hoc Financial analysis

• Accounting/Finance Master’s degree is required (with good knowledge of the local taxes, VAT and general accounting practices)
• 5 to 8 years of experience including a FMCG experience
• Fluent in Dutch and English mandatory ; French is a plus
• Strong in Excel ; knowledge of JDE or other ERP Systems would be a plus
• Attention to detail, rigorous and meticulous
• Logical and analytical skills
• Autonomous and well-organized
• Responsible, discrete and reliable
• Proven communication skills
