Your role & work environment

You will work in the dealing room of ING in Brussels, as part of the Financial Markets Interest Rate Derivatives sales team. You will work with different teams internally and manage a client portfolio. You will need to prepare and present pitches helping client to understand the added value of derivatives in their specific business context. The concerned derivatives are mostly interest rate derivatives but, in function of the client needs, you will also discuss commodity and FX hedging alternatives, as well as structured notes and investment solutions.

Financial Markets Interest Rate Derivatives sales team is part of the FM sales franchise of ING, covering clients of different type (MC&I, Wholesale banking and FI) within more than 25 locations to service our clients.

Your key responsibilities

Preparing pitches on hedging solutions

• Create and update PowerPoint presentations that will be used to pitch tailor-made solutions to our clients
• Analyse the various financial risks of our clients and propose hedging solutions

Active interactions with our internal stakeholders

• Embed yourself in the activity of the business centers (the biggest client scope being made of business banking clients) and internal stakeholders
• Become a trusted and dedicated FM SPOC in those business centers and in the relevant WB sectors

Monitoring and active management of the existing portfolio

• Update, analyse and create a variety of reports towards our stakeholders
• Manage the existing derivatives portfolio to make sure that it still fits the clients’ hedging needs

• Fluent in French, both verbally and in writing, Dutch/English speaking are also important to interact with colleagues (traders, back-offices and other sales colleagues)
