For a global customer in West Flanders, I am searching for a freelance Production Planner for an initial 12 months contract.

Context

PPC is responsible for drawing up the production plans and providing the necessary resources (parts, people) to realize them.

This means that the dynamic market demand for products must be converted into a stable production plan per line. Adjusting the planning where necessary based on the priorities, available parts, capacity or manpower is crucial.

In addition to the production planning, sufficient parts must also be made available in time and solutions must be sought when this is not possible.

As a team, there is frequent collaboration and communication both externally to suppliers and logistics providers and internally to production, supply center, HR and purchasing.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning and control of the resources with a focus on parts, manpower and finished products where you consult closely with the management of the various production lines, purchasing and supply center
  • Map out the production planning and translate this into proposals regarding optimization of available parts
  • Liaise with internal and with external suppliers
  • Analyses schedules and the development of tools to continuously improve and take the appropriate actions
  • Strive for a good balance between achieving the production results and an optimal distribution within the factory
  • Be the central point of contact within production with regard to production planning and allocation
  • Communicate with other factories within EMEA
  • Actively involved in supply chain projects to improve planning and logistics processes

Profile

  • Order processing experience or knowledge of SAP or any other ERP is an advantage
  • Analytical mind, able to work with lots of figures
  • Interested by business processes
  • Pragmatic and have the self-discipline to draw up schedules and follow them
  • Candidates with experience in a production/factory environment is a huge bonus but not mandatory
  • Basic knowledge of the MS-office tools

Details

DURATION: 12 Months

LOCATION: 1-2 days remote after training is complete, office is in Oostende

LANGUAGES: English, Dutch is preferable

START DATE: ASAP (June-July)
