IMDC is a leading international consultancy providing advice upon the development and management of water related projects in the offshore, marine, coastal and river environment. Your role

As our GIS & HEC-RAS modeller you will grow to become the expert for IMDC in these topics. It is our intention to further elevate the level of IMDC and of our software products in these two fields, you will make a significant contribution in this strategy during your time at IMDC.

You will join the Digital Water Solutions team, a special group of experts in different fields: hydrology, hydraulics, GIS, software development, ML, statistics & IT. The skills of each member contributes to forge digital solutions related to water management.

Job Description

  • GIS modelling;
  • HEC-RAS modelling;
  • Assist the Digital Water Solutions team to build quality software solutions from your knowledge on GIS and modelling;
  • With your mixed knowledge on hydrology, GIS and HECRAS you will contribute to many diverse projects.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree relevant to hydrology/hydraulics;
  • Experience with GIS systems;
  • Experience with Geoserver is a plus. Wizardry skills also wanted;
  • Keen interest in HEC-RAS models;
  • First experience in using and setting up HECRAS models or experience with hydrological/hydraulic modelling for complex water systems;
  • Basic programming capabilities, preferably with Python.
