As Global Supply Product Expert you will be responsible for ensuring the long-range planning process is converted into a usable manufacturing forecast and supply plan to facilitate an effective decision-making process

The main responsibilities of this role will be to Support the End to End Product Planning Lead by:

  • Ensuring there are robust optimised supply plans and appropriate level of inventory to satisfy Demand and Sales. Align governance and prioritisation through CCC (Core Commercial Cycle) and Supply Chain Issue Management Process for products and will be responsible for.
  • Provide connectivity between the supply chain function and other department within vaccines business units. Specifically, the End to end Product Planning Manager will manage an additional level of complexity associated with operational management on different intermediate production steps from bulk, filling formulation to packaging and/or process/system improvement activities.
  • This role develops a transversal relationship with other managers and above function teams, that spans across multiple departments within supply chain (customer service manager, production planning manager, distribution planning manager) and outside supply chain (global regulatory department, commercial organisation, Technical Life Cycle Management, …)

  • Accountable for the End-to End Supply & Demand Management from Bulk to pack for the 0-3 years horizon for the product.
  • Leads the Monthly Supply & demand Review meeting.
  • Provides visibility of End to End status across a portfolio of products. Ensures Bulk and Fill plans can fulfil packaging and Customer Demand.
  • Work with Strategy teams to support product and supply strategy to maximize portfolio revenues and maximize vaccines supply to achieve best in class customer satisfaction
  • Product expert as point of contact to other stakeholders in the organization (Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing Strategy, Technical life cycle Management, central planning, Global Product Leads..)
  • Effective Risks & opportunities management, in accordance with Core Commercial Cycle Governance
  • Manage global variations (sourcing & life cycle changes & new product introductions) by ensuring there is a global view which is adequately integrated in all production steps (from bulk to pack) for all sites and that stock levels are in line with customer demand and regulatory constraints.
  • Manage inventories for the product (value of :300M£ (end to end: from Bulk down to LOCs inventories) by ensuring that stock levels are in line with recommended stock policies (including minimizing the write off across total supply chain).

  • Ensure on-time and proactive communication within the vaccine network
  • Provide end-to-end product view and ensure alignment with the network
  • Highlight risk & opportunities, initiate and prepare the escalations including mitigation plans for the supply risks.
  • Responsible for the availability and quality of Master data for the team. Responsible for Master Data set up, planning and maintenance in SAP/APO.
  • Ensure that sourcing matrix is translated into Planning Master data
  • Accountable to deliver and share performance metrics in line with the KPI targets (OTIF, SFA/SFB, BI, Working Capital / Write-offs / Master Data accuracy / PRP Quality/Plan Adherence), create/maintain relevant reporting dashboards
  • Manage customer demand (3 years horizon) for the product
  • Support the (Senior) product manager in Business Review meetings, working with customer service & internal stakeholders to best capture Regional information into Product Global demand into Supply Chain systems (supply update) to enable signal for production. Analyse demand variability, risks and opportunities.
  • Adapt supply chain parameters to manage demand (segmentation, local stock policy, MGX parameters)
  • Build and ensure on-time communication of dashboard, KPIs and demand analysis to all stakeholders
  • Responsible for providing the manufacturing plans and allocation of the production volumes to different sites in order to maximize the output of the factories
  • Ensure to stabilize the production plan, follow up the execution, report variances vs plan, implement corrective actions
  • Identify risk, issues an propose options and solutions to close the gap in case of capacity constraint
  • Support scenario planning
  • Manage the non-commercial activities and incorporate them into the plan
  • Support yearly budget process
  • Support Planning Lead in the following up of network changes and product transfers, ensuring key milestones are defined and met, and any deviations from plan are identified and managed effectively.
  • Deputy of Planning Lead at meetings (GSRM / GDRM / GPLT/ Other) and support with the preparation for the portfolio.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • University degree or relevant practical experience ( Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, Business, Math, Economics, Science...)
  • :4+ years of experience in supply chain or equivalent
  • Experience in multiple business disciplines in either or both a Commercial Sales / Demand Forecasting / Finance operation, or an end-to-end Supply Chain Planning role in a Pharmaceutical environment
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Planning processes
  • Good written and verbal communications skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enterprise thinking (end-to-end supply orientation, cross functional team spirit, sharing of good practices within the network)
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization; multi-cultural awareness is an asset
  • Proven Planning & Organizational skills & able to work on own initiative.
  • Change management: ability to lead and drive change
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to simplify complex environment
  • Strong influencing skills to engage and align operational teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead cross functional teams.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills in French or in one or more additional European languages
  • Effective communication skills to all levels in the organization, including presentation skills
  • Sense of urgency, flexibility and accountability
  • Highly numerate and good knowledge of supply chain software systems and processes. Experience with SAP (R/3 and APO) is an advantage
