Health Economics & Reimbursement (HE&R) Manager

Abbott is recruiting a Health Economics and Reimbursement (HE&R) Manager for the Neuromodulation Division.

The HE&R Manager leads the Reimbursement & Health Economics activities in EMEA in support of the Neuromodulation division and is the main contact for the EMEA NM Business Leadership in matters of HE&R. This function will be a regional contact point and provide a regional perspective in matters of market access to the Business.

The HE&R Business Manager will align with the regional and local NM Business Leaders to identify reimbursement priorities and, where applicable, in supporting the business at customer level.

This position will report to the Senior Director Health Economics & Reimbursement.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with country HE&R staff in developing the Abbott reimbursement strategies for Neuromodulation at country level in EMEA.

• Oversee execution and report to global Neuromodulation and HE&R leadership.

• Identify synergies between countries in pursuing reimbursement and customer support objectives and leverage the global HE&R team in meeting these objectives.

• Align and partner with other functions within the company, such as Clinical, Marketing, Corporate Accounts and Government Affairs.

• Support the Neuromodulation business organization with insights into reimbursement and health care systems in order to design business strategies against existing reimbursement realities and near-term market access opportunities

• Counsel on innovative approaches to deal with purchasing and hospital groups in order to move to value based procurement

• Support the local Health Economics and Reimbursement leaders in shaping and prioritizing reimbursement strategies that are in line with future business needs

• Establish an effective operating model including collaboration, communication structures and processes with all stakeholders and in particular business leaders and other internal customers.

• Where applicable and appropriate, establish impactful relations with third parties at regional and country level.

• Where applicable and appropriate, establish partnerships with purchasers and payers

Your Profile:

• Master’s degree, or equal in Human-medical, technical medical studies with economic skills or economic studies with medical skills

• Proven experience in health economics or market access

• Experience in medical devices

• Strong project Management skills

• Flexibility, self-motivation

• Good skills in knowledge transfer (training) and medical-technical knowledge as well as an operational background

• Good communication skills, fluency in English and team player
