Our client, a mid size construction material company with two operational entities in Belgium is urgently looking for an Interim CEO / Managing Director. The Interim manager will take on the role for a period of 6 to 12 months.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • You ensue the full performance of the two entities based in Flanders and Wallonia
  • You steer and organise the company (70FTE) with the management team and you ensure and strive towards commercial and operational excellence.
  • You guide the teams, make them grow towards more autonomy and create an atmosphere of trust, dialogue, proactiveness and enthusiasm.
  • You liaise with clients to develop and discuss new potential projects and you define the best operational strategy for the group.
  • You have full P&L responsibility.
  • You ensure the pricing and profitability is well guarded.
  • You make sure all health and safety measures are in place.
  • You report directly to the board of directors and liaise regularly to discuss the results and strategic changes that will need to be put in place.

Your Profile:

  • You have solid experience as CEO or BU director in building material production companies. You have managed the commercial side and have interacted intensely with clients.
  • You are able to take on a role in a mid-size company and develop it towards profitability.
  • You have worked in environments that are undergoing heavy challenges but can remain calm by defining a solid plan of execution.
  • You are a strong federator, realistic in your objectives, open to your teams and you have a positive attitude and ambition.
  • You are level headed and you have good general business acumen
  • You are an excellent communicator and strong people manager.
  • You are available now or early September at the latest.
  • You speak Dutch, French and English for relations with supplier abroad.
  • You are willing to travel between 2 sites (Roeselaere & Rochefort)
