Our client, a major player active in communication technologies in Belgium, is urgently looking for a self-employed interim Financial Controller for a period of 6 months.
The Interim Manager’s key responsibilities will include:
- Providing relevant & timely financial information to the organization in order to enable a balanced and objective assessment of the strategy and objectives.
- Challenge and validate the financial targets.
- Analyzing deviations between actual and forecasted performance, make sure correct provisions are made.
- Preparation of the planning for budget exercise.
- Support active cooperation between controlling department and other departments.
- Monthly reporting towards management (CFO/CEO/Group) and analyze variations.
- Participate in the improvement and reviews of existing processes and controls, participate to the day-to-day finance controlling operations.
- Liaising with the management team and prepare any ad hoc information requests.
The key qualifications required for this interim management job:
The ideal candidate has a strong and proven experience in financial controlling in large groups. The candidate should be: hands-on and autonomous, able to challenge the business, a pragmatic problem solver, interact with other controllers, and should have excellent communication skills. The candidate must be strong in using Excel & Power BI. Fluency in English is mandatory, other languages being an asset.
