Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. GTS operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
With a high focus on business service availability, the IT change management process and in particular the launch process is critical for the IT services at Euroclear. In a rapidly changing environment it is key to maintain the balance between the need for changes and business services availability. Therefore all changes, including emergency maintenance and patches relating to infrastructure or applications, are assessed and authorised prior to implementation and reviewed against planned outcomes following implementation.
As a member of the change & release management team you will be the senior expert in the change and Release management process, reference person for the other team members both in expertise and decision making.
Execute the Change and Release Management process on a daily basis in collaboration with change requestors
Adapt and orientate the process to best fit with IT strategy for improving the quality of the deliveries in Production, Pre-production and Non-Prod.
Assess change impacts and potential incompatibilities between changes, both internal and external to the Euroclear Group.
Plan Release Calendars taking into account external parties
Run the standard Change and Release management :
Perform a quality assessment of the changes through the production acceptance criteria.
Validate that production launch criteria are met
Support projects and releases in the building of their launch scenario and launch window.
Coordinate with the Production to guarantee the operability of launches
- Manage the Non-Prod environment
Perform pro-active Change management :
In collaboration with the incident and problem management units, continuous monitoring of the production to identify changes deployed without authorization.
Develop reporting and monitoring tools to monitor and improve the process
Has in-depth or broad technical/functional knowledge of one or multiple IT domains
Regularly reviews release management process and procedures to streamline and facilitate overall improvement to service delivery.
Responsible for the management of complex release. Masters and lead autonomously the different type of events.
Collect changes requirements on all type of infrastructure components such as servers, network, office, storage, databases and facilities, and bundle them into manageable release events. Manages relationships and interactions with all technology teams to timely forecast and anticipate major infrastructure changes.
Performs detailed risk assessment on all aspects of a release event, discusses and mitigates all risks with the technology teams and provides clear reporting to management on residual risks and readiness of each release.
Leads and coordinates the execution of a specific release event. Responsible for meeting release objectives in term of infrastructure updates while protecting the stability of the production services.
Ensure weekend coordination and manage adequately the post event phase producing the appropriate reports and ensuring the problem management follow up.
You have Expertise in one or multiple platforms, technology or functional applications of the group.
Complexity & problem solving : Handles standard situation, covering several but known domains of expertise. Look how current procedures and processes and can be improved within domain.
Decision making : Use knowledge and expertise to support the decision process in own domain. Makes step improvements within the operational domain. Collects and provides the necessary information to support the decision process on subject of medium importance or with moderate impact for the own domain.
Strategic approach and impact : Focuses on execution in his domain, while looking for step improvements to defined processes and methods. Runs and maintains the operational process. Drives the improvement steps on specific, limited domains.
Stakeholders management : Builds and maintains operational network of relationships, mainly with peers. Influences in own domain of expertise, on well defined tactical or technical matters. Takes action to resolve conflicts with appropriate level of support from peers and/or management.
Autonomy and leadership : Works autonomously on domain of medium scope. Organises, coordinates and plans own activities independently according to stakeholders constraints. Provides feedback to management on activity progress. Has full autonomy on the decisions to be taken about a set of products / services / solutions / applications under ones own responsibility
