As an IT Service Desk Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hardware, software, and network systems. You make sure that technical issues faced by end users are resolved efficiently and effectively, while keeping our systems up to date. Thanks to your technical insight, hands-on mentality, and service-oriented approach, you help support our fast-growing production environment.

Responsibilities & Key TasksAs IT Service Desk Specialist, you are the first point of contact for colleagues with IT-related questions or problems. You offer support to end users, maintain the hardware, software and network systems and actively think along about improvements in our IT services. You build a good relationship with all departments to ensure a smooth operation of our IT environment.
- Provide first- (and second-line) support to end users via phone, email and ticketing system
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the help desk ticketing system
- Manage the inventory of IT materials
- Resolve and maintain and/or update hardware, software and network problems
- Identifying recurring problems and contributing to structural solutions
- Keeping IT procedures up-to-date, as well as documentation on new and existing IT systems
- Provide support to IT projects
- Report to the IT manager
- A strong passion for IT and relevant experience
- Experience providing technical assistance and support within a service desk role
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems
- Able to diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical end users
- Good command of English and Dutch is required
- Working independently, taking initiative, strong sense of responsibility and solution oriented
- Basic knowledge of some of the following systems:
- Linux, Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, Sharepoint, DNS, VLAN, SD-WAN, Remote Access, ESXi, Hyper-V, NinjaOne, N-Able,...
