Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic junior HSE & Facility support who will be updating several safety programs and electrical plans aswell as supporting the HSE Facility manager.

JBT in Sint Niklaas where this position sits, we are in the unique position of being able to offer extensive thermal process expertise regarding virtually all low and high acid foods in nearly every type of sterilizing system and every type of package, by virtue of our position as a recognized thermal process authority. Our Research and Technology Centre in Sint Niklaas assists with Process Validation, Process Development, Container Performance Studies and Training.

Responsibilities

As a support for the HSE & Facility manager, you will first learn about the complete factory so you can update the lay-outs and electrical plans. You’ll also support the safety programs (Near miss reportings, Behavior Based Sfety Observations, ..) and learn to work with the ProcessMap software. Next to this you will manage the safety trainings, the external legal safety controls, prepare the toolbox meetings, do the yearly IR checks, ... but you will also enrole your sleeves to get problems solved in our production and help to enroll our preventive maintenance plan for our machine workcenters. Depending your skills, motivation and engagement there is a lot of growth potential in this role.

A day in the life of our Junior facility & safety supportwould look like this …

you will be...
  • learning how our factory works and how the utilities are
  • updating digital lay-outs of the factory
  • updating digital lay-outs of electrical schemes
  • keeping track of safety trainings and legal external controls (Vincotte)
  • organizing toolbox meetings
  • doing yearly IR controls
  • learning deep knowledge in our safety software ProcessMaap
  • controlling & improving our preventive maintenance plan
  • keeping a smooth operation in production (no long stand stills of machines or electrical failures)

Qualifications

We would like you to have what’s listed below, however we are super keen on diversity in the workplace – if you have something transferable come and tell us about it …
  • Bachelor Electromechanics (with some years of experience)
  • Team player with coaching skills
  • Responsible, accountable, integer and with some determination
  • Problem solver with good analytical skills
  • Willing to prepare and to give trainings (good communicator and be able to convince people)
  • Must be proactive, inspired, flexible and have a structured way of working
  • Knowledge of common software (MS office)
  • If possible good knowledge of Autocad
  • Be interested to follow ’Preventieadviseur niv. 2’ in the coming years.
  • Fluent in Dutch & English
