Key Account Manager

Perform key account management to existing clients & develop the client portfolio.

Within the Corporate & Key Account teamyou have the end-to-end commercial responsibility for

your industry. Your challenge is the development of revenue and profit potential of corporate clients by monitoring and optimising the operational management of these existing client relationships and the successful generation of ’new business’ within the client portfolio.

Responsibilities and tasks:

Account Management

  • Your first and foremost challenge is the responsibility for the account management of the existing client portfolio of top clients within your industry.
  • You ensure client satisfaction through a solid follow-up and analysis of the most important KPI’s such as the collection results for the clients, the client’s profitability and the efficiency and quality of internal processes.
  • You take the appropriate actions while there are direct operational contacts between clients and the different departments within Intrum. As an expert, you are the most important contact for clients and you mainly have a coordinating role between the client and the internal organization.
  • When a new collaboration with a client starts, you are responsible for a great startup of the portfolio you service for the client.
  • You maintain an overview and you are in contact with all the services involved in order to put this new collaboration to perfect use.
  • You will ensure proper reporting of management information towards your clients. You analyze the available results in terms of performance so that a quality interpretation of these figures can be provided.

Business Development

  • You are also responsible for successfully expanding Intrum’s business. You independently map the market in order to detect and develop opportunities within your client portfolio.
  • As an advisor, you are able to understand you client’s challenges and the internal processes. This enables you to suggest the right solutions within their credit management value chain.
  • Together with the client you create solutions with a great added value, both financial as future wise, to your client. Your contact counterparts will mainly be CEOs, CFOs, Credit & Collection Managers whereby consultative selling is key.
  • You negotiate and conclude contracts, and you build a good relationship with the new clients.
  • You ensure proper communication with the internal departments involved who ultimately give the client’s customers an excellent service.
  • You initiate and actively participate in market specific marketing and network events in order to search for new sales opportunities.

As a Key Account Manager at Intrum you have:

  • A proven track record of sales experience is mandatory;
  • Good knowledge of and a network within the banking and insurance industry in Belgium is an asset. So is experience within the world of credit or Management/Credit collection
  • Experience with P&L based selling/Consultative selling.
  • A Master’s degree (or you are relevant through experience)
  • Excellent financial – analytical skills.
  • A commercial oriented mindset with an assertive but client focused touch.
  • Very solid negotiation skills.
  • Good language skills: Dutch, French and English are mandatory.
