Summary:

The work schedule for this position is full-time (40 hours per week)


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (15 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

Acts as assistant to the Deputy Management Advisor. Provides full range of administrative support and office management to the Office of the Management Advisor with minimal supervision. Serves as knowledge resource to USNATO personnel on administrative topics, coordinating USNATO sponsor and orientation program, ensuring all new personnel complete check-in processes and departing personnel check-out. Schedules meetings and maintains the Deputy Management Advisor’s calendar, organizes flow of clerical processes throughout the Management section. Assists the Deputy Management Advisor in coordination and preparation of special events. Handles routine administrative inquiries, and exercises discretion in escalating issues. Represents the Deputy Management Advisor to the Directors and section heads as needed. Serves as Liaison with Joint Administrative Section and Front Office for clearances. Supervises the USNATO Rover Pool.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:


Four years of progressively responsible experience in an executive assistant/senior secretarial position in an English language environment, including one year in a supervisory function, is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have general Knowledge of office management and administrative procedures.

Education Requirements:

Two years of college/university studies in public administration, business administration, management organizational behavior, legal studies, or knowledge management required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Fluency in English. This may be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be computer literate i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint are required. Familiarity with Adobe or other design program

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
