MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER – LEUVEN (12+ MONTHS)

My client in the telecommunications industry is looking for a Mechanical CAD Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team of optical, mechanical, and material experts. You will be part of the Product Development department which focusses on the research and development of strategic products in the field of fibre optic telecommunications. You will be contributing to development projects in the area of optical fibre management and sealing technologies. You will be based in Leuven and will be required on site at least 2 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling, Creo is a must

· Previous experience with plastic parts / moulding, CAD and sealing is also a must

· Any experience with plastic injection moulding or metal stamped parts is a plus

· Good working knowledge of FEA and analytical modelling

· Degree in mechanical engineering or a proven background in this area

LANGUAGES:

  • Fluent in English
  • Dutch would be a plus
