As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of a new clinker production line, contributing to the transformation of industrial practices through cutting-edge technologies and collaborative engineering.

The project is based in the Walloon region and is part of a large-scale transformation program aimed at decarbonizing production processes. RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Lead Mechanics and the Construction Manager, the Mechanical Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing mechanical engineering activities throughout the design and construction phases of a new clinker line.
  • Supervising site supervisors and consolidating updates on mechanical works.
  • Acting as the Single Point of Contact for subcontractors, ensuring alignment on project goals and compliance with specifications.
  • Managing the implementation of critical equipment, including new production lines and upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Ensuring all mechanical structures meet project specifications and comply with local and international standards.
  • Coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Leading the clarification and validation of execution plans.
  • Promoting and enforcing safety standards on-site.

PROFILE

  • Extensive experience in cement plant environments is mandatory.
  • Strong background in large-scale industrial cement projects, particularly in mechanical execution and heavy equipment installation.
  • Proven expertise in mechanical engineering and machinery management, especially in mineral extraction, processing, and transportation.
  • Deep understanding of cement production machinery and material handling systems.
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus with excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
