About the jobs:

Based in Braine L’Alleud - Belgium the NCI Agency Infrastructure Services Center (NISC) Management team are seeking to bring on board a Senior Engineer (Digital Communications Services) and an Engineer (Digital Communications Services) to reinforce the Network as a Service (NaaS) Area of Responsibility (AoR).

NaaS spans all network infrastructure hardware, Network Function Virtualization (NFV) elements, as well as software, services, management, and licensing components enabling the provisioning, deployment, network management, maintenance, lifecycle and vendor management of the on-premises, cloud and multi-cloud network infrastructure, services and connectivity.

We are therefore seeking to identify talented and knowledgeable Engineers for posts which will focus on the key areas below at varying levels of complexity and seniority such as:

  • Systems design
  • Network design
  • Systems integration and build
  • Network support

  • Currently these positions have a planned employment commencement date of; 01/01/2025.
About you:

For the Senior Engineer you will need to demonstrable the likes of:

  • Being able to lead and manage a permanently assigned team as well as temporary project and ad-hoc teams.
  • The ability to Develop networking solutions for IaaS/SaaS/PaaS applications that reside in private cloud, public cloud, or both, using industry best practices and technologies.
  • A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience.
  • Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
For the Engineer you will need to demonstrable the likes of:

  • Experience within supporting networking solutions for IaaS/SaaS/PaaS applications that reside in private cloud, public cloud, or both, using industry best practices and technologies.
  • A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.
  • Or, exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
