Scope of work:

ELC has requested a full-time Network Engineer for L2 role

Responsibilities:

• Cleanup of old copper cabling (patch cords in IT-room)

• Cleanup of fiber cabling (in IT-room) and re-cable current IT racks.

• Transfer of IT devices from old IT-rack to new rack (PC’s, Printers, PLC)

• Decommission of old devices once transfer is complete

• Remove old IT devices out of Rack A so dismantle of Rack A can be done.

• Cleanup of fiber cabling (in IT-room) and re-cable current IT racks

• Connect each cabinet with a fiber patch cord to the new fiber backbone

• Check connection of the network switches

• Remove the old fiber patch cords

• Decommission of old devices once transfer is complete

• If a device needs to be changed on IP address, coordinate this change

• Remove old IT devices out of Rack A so dismantle of Rack A can be done

• Switches in the old rack that have no active ports anymore need to be removed

• UPS to be powered down and removed from cabinet.
