About the role



The Operational Innovation Specialist is embedded within the Commercialisation Squad to provide Technical & Operations leadership & expertise ensuring, via robust planning and quality execution, the faultless product introduction & scale up in market to meet the business’ commercial ambition. This role operates following the successful achievement of TG6 (’Minimum Scalable Solution’) by a Product or Service.



  • Provide expertise to the Product Squads ensuring that innovation developments fully considered the ’real world’ technical and operational variables to be commercially successful ’at scale’



  • To work with Site, Cluster & Country Management Teams & Functional SMEs to build the relevant technical and business plans to scale production to achieve commercial ambition, such as capital equipment & supply chain readiness



  • To provide ’hands on’ leadership - in partnership with Site teams - to enable effective validation of product introductions within market, such as proving capable manufacturing & operational control processes, production rate proving & quality / right first time



  • To ensure a seamless handover to the Site Leadership teams, including a disciplined ’sign off’ product introduction process & hyper care arrangements



This role can be based out of Brussels, Madrid, Vienna or Frankfurt and you will be expected to travel up to 60% of the week.



About you

Minimum requirements:

  • Experience operating directly in Operational/Manufacturing/Supply Chain environments and demonstrated Product Development / Introduction experience

  • Evidence of working within Agile cross functional environments as an independent operator

  • Green Belt/Black Belt preferred

  • Experience in short cycle fast moving consumer sector

  • Paper and/or Packaging industry experience a benefit

  • Team Player

  • Comfortable with taking the lead when necessary & holding bold positions

  • Good communicator and at building & maintain relationships

  • Comfortable with working with ambiguity

  • Challenging, trusted, responsive and tenacious
