For our office located in Bruges (see the map here) we’re looking for a Patrol Officer (m/f/x).

The Grid Department is responsible for managing Fluxys Belgium’s transmission system, ensuring the supply of gas to end users at all times and guaranteeing the safety of facilities, the environment and employees. More specifically, the department’s work encompasses the inspection, operation and maintenance of the pipeline grid and associated facilities, such as valve junctions and pressure-reducing stations. The Grid Department is divided into five zones, each of which covers a part of Belgium, with a central entity providing technical and administrative support.

Your
responsibilities

• As a Fluxys Patrol Officer, you will play a key preventive role and, together with your colleagues, will guarantee the safety of natural gas transmission activities in your region
• You will take to the road every day in one of our 4x4s to inspect the pipeline grid
• When on patrol, you will support companies working in the vicinity of our pipelines and will produce the necessary reports
• You will carry out minor maintenance work on the visible parts of our facilities
• You will report your activities to your manager at the end of the day

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma in a technical field
• A keen sense of responsibilityand the ability to work independently
• Enthusiasmand approachability
• Fluency in Dutch and satisfactory knowledge of English
• Proficiency of all MS Office programsand readiness to get to grips with new applications

Additionally, this role requires:

• Willingness to eventually work on calland on standby
• Living within 30 minutes of our entity in Bruges or are willing to move that close
• A category B driving licenceand willingness to obtain a category C licence
