Job Purpose and Impact
Do you love chocolate and the art of Supply Chain? As a Planning Manager Chocolate EMEA within Cargill , you will lead and provide direction to the Planning team (Supply and inventory planners) and oversees all day-to-day supply chain planning activities in scope for the chocolate supply chain operation in Cargill European Chocolate Business, currently in 9 (nine) plants. These activities include: supply chain operations, iBP Supply Review, supply/production planning & execution, material planning, business partnership, systems / data management & reporting and people, talent & budget management.
Key Accountabilities
  • Using substantial knowledge and robust experience, define inventory strategy and segmentation, incorporating other relevant strategies for ensuring customer expectations are met from production through order fulfillment.
  • Prepare the supply and inventory planning inputs for capacity scenarios and recommendations.
  • Review and publish supply and inventory planning metrics targets.
  • Provides input and support to internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, plant operations, CTL, PLM and procurement) on the impacts of their supply chain plan. This includes all aspects regarding costs, impact on capacity, logistics and order release.
  • Collaborates with team to manage key contacts with internal stakeholders from the Leadership team to connect supply chain planning strategy to overall BU strategy and to develop an outlook and vision.
  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance and talent development, succession planning and engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Fluent in English language
  • PC literate (e.g. MS Office Suite) and especially Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Fluent in French and Dutch language
  • Proven experience in Supply Chain Planning in an manufacturing environment with a good understanding of overall Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing processes
  • Lean / six sigma experience and with a Black Belt certification will be great
  • 8 – 10 year experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Confirmed experience in supervisory roles
