Planning Officer

Purpose of the job

The Planning Officer sets up an efficient and effective production planning, taking into account all variables (current capacity, resources, materials) in order to guarantee an optimal stock level. Internal training will be provided.

Main responsibilities

  • Drawing up the production schedules for the various production units considering the availability of machines, people, materials and the production sequence.
  • Monitoring the stock levels of raw materials and finished products.
  • Proposing and implementing optimizations.
  • Drawing up monthly and weekly production capacity plans.
  • First point of contact between production (planning) and logistics.
  • Identifying bottlenecks early on, (re)planning and coordinating the ordering and production activities.
  • Administrative tasks related to planning
  • Converting planned orders into production or process orders (incl. material check)
  • Releasing the production and process orders into the MRP system
  • Keeping track of changes related to the planning in SAP
  • Setting up and maintaining the purchasing master data regarding the MRP and PP module in SAP

Requirements

  • Bachelor Supply Chain Management or equal by experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to collect and interpret data
  • Ability to work independently
  • Positive and stress-resilient person with a problem-solving mindset
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Great command of Dutch and English
  • Advanced in MS Office (specifically Excel)
  • Good communication skills
