10 May 2023EverZinc is looking to reinforce its production plant in Pelt (BE) team with a Process EngineerSummaryWe are looking for a Process Engineer for our production plant in Pelt (BE), who will be a strategic and central point of contact. The Process Engineer at Pelt will become an expert in the production process of zinc powder for alkaline batteries.Your Responsibilities
  • Analyze the production processes and identify improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. For this, you work with different teams.
  • Design and supervise industrial tests on site. In this way, you learn quickly and continuously.
  • Be the driving force behind the implementation of identified improvements and work closely with the production manager and the project and maintenance manager.
  • Study and implement new production processes and optimize existing ones.
  • In doing so, follow new technologies and be aware of new products, process and parameter developments as well as new applications.
  • Interact with the production team to communicate, monitor and evaluate process related data (tests/protocols/analyses). Data is available in real time.
  • Be the point of contact within the plant for the technical sales and R&D department when new products are introduced in the plant. Lead and supervise the introduction and scaling of these new products.
  • Actively contribute to the EverZinc strategy and initiatives around development and innovation, especially process control and stability. This is important to achieve a quality product.
  • Report directly to the plant manager.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Master’s degree in industrial science or engineering. Electromechanics, material science or process chemistry (industrial chemistry) are the most obvious.
  • Broad general knowledge of industrial processes.
  • Ability to analyze and ‘translate’ data from physical-chemical processes: you are analytical and communicative.
  • Wanting to improve things is in your nature. To do this you use your critical eye and your perseverance. You are convinced that you cannot do it alone: you act as a team player.
  • In a production and process environment, resilience is an interesting asset. So is prioritization. Every production environment requires this flexibility in the short term while still achieving your medium-term goals.
  • Speak fluent Dutch (for the workplace) and English (for broader business context)
  • We want to talk to both highly experienced engineers and those who have just finished their first work experience.
