What does this job entail?

Simple is better. That also goes for the processes of our compliance department. As a process manager, you reinforce this department with one goal: smoother, simpler processes. That way your colleagues can really focus on the core of their responsibilities.

And that’s important because compliance is a crucial part of our company culture. It allows us to conduct business ethically, in compliance with laws and regulations. Besides anti-money laundering activities, it also entails the protection of investors, privacy protection and the prevention of market abuse and fraud. Matters of importance.

You will join the Group Compliance team and collaborate with colleagues of 14 different nationalities, who speak no less than 19 different languages.

But ... “One vision, one voice, one team.” That’s our directive and at the same time your biggest challenge. Because most of your initiatives will need to be applicable for the whole of KBC Group.

What do we expect from you?

  • You analyse and document the core processes of Group Compliance.
  • You list actions that we can take to simplify these processes.
  • Together with the business teams and management, you prioritize this list of actions.
  • You then make sure they are executed.

Your key strenghts?

  • You are familiar with Business Process Improvement and have an affinity with IT. That will help you to get to work with opportunities through new technologies.
  • Simple is better? You strongly believe that and know how to make that happen.
  • You communicate effectively. When needed, you effortlessly adapt your communication style to your conversation partner; from legal advisor to senior manager. You know techniques to lead workshops and to reconcile different points of view.
  • Coming up with alternative solutions? Evaluating the short and long term benefits of a solution? No problem for you. The result? Viable, pragmatic solutions. That way things can really change.
  • You take initiative, roll up your sleeves and set things in motion.
  • You find it motivating to work together with others to achieve goals and to coach your colleagues to simplify the way they work.
