You Will Be Responsible For Wide Range Of Coordination Activities Within The Refrigeration SBU And EDC

As a Product Development Officer, you will be based in Brussels, Belgium, from where your efforts will contribute to the development of innovative and differentiated product. You will be reporting to the Product Planning Section Manager, coordinating new product development (NPD) projects, by being an interface between the Commercial and Transport Refrigeration departments and the Daikin European Development Centre (EDC). Being in a headquarters role, you will get a 360-degree view of the business as well as DENV group structure and procedures.

• Supports Commercial and Transport Refrigeration departments on defining the long term product development roadmap.
• Performs competitive analysis of product range with price and specification information collected from sales affiliates.
• Supports the local product development meetings (L-PDM) intended to gather the voice of the customer.
• Coordinates the official product development meetings (PDM) where new product development projects are presented and approved by senior management .
• Creates the new product specifications document (ESK) including technical details and business case.
• Coordinates the Daikin Product Development process working directly with EDC.
• Communicates progress on NPD projects to senior management on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Supports the product launch readiness (PLR) process, led by Commercial or Transport Refrigeration departments.

Profile

Experience, Education & Technical Skills

• Master’s Degree in Refrigeration, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or similar, with a strong interest in technical and industrial products
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, product development, or sales of refrigeration or air conditioning equipment or related products in an industrial multinational company
• Awareness of EN378 and Ecodesign legislations is an asset
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Any other European language will be an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD
• Willing to develop a knowledge base in Cold Chain industries.
• Travel up to 20% (international and national)
