Work environment

Within BA Global Power, the holder of the position handles with onshore wind and solar projects abroad. Projects cover all phases of development, realisation and commissioning of projects as from 2 -3 MW upto > 500 MW projects. With many young engineers, this product is especially dynamic with continuous improvement and focus on innovation and digitalisation as a result.

Mission

Ready to power the future forward sustainably? As Product Manager of the Onshore Renewables International Projects team he/she is the hierarchic manager of all activities related to Onshore Renewable projects outside Belgium. He/she is N+1 to about 15 engineers, follow-up the execution of the different International projects, maintain good client relations and secure the further development of the product.

Your function

• You are hierarchic manager to the engineers in your team. You assure guidance, supervision, feedback and in particular coaching of young engineers.
• You’ll manage your product’s human resources by planning necessary resources. You will identify needs of reinforcement and be responsible for new recruitment.
• You’ll develop the competence and expertise of your team and coordinate the development of methodologies and tools in collaboration with the other Onshore Renewable experts of the BA Global Power. This will include continuous improvement and integration of return of experience.
• You’ll assure the quality of the studies and services delivered by your team and guarantee the execution of an appropriate review.
• You’ll manage the financial parameters including project’s performance optimization and respect of overhead budgets.
• You’ll assure to maintain client satisfaction, especially of key clients and deal with eventual issues.
• You’ll identify new business opportunities and boost innovation, especially in the field of digitalization or automatization.
• You’ll actively participate in the overall management of the Renewables team within the BA Global Power.
• You ensure that all project and corporate procedures are correctly followed, especially regarding HSE.
• You take an active role in the Business development of the product, expending your network, approaching and convincing existing and new potential clients and assure the elaboration of offers which are in line with client’s needs.
