The Hornetsecurity Group is the leading cloud security provider in Europe, which protects the IT infrastructure, digital communication and data of companies and organizations of all sizes.For our location in Malta we are looking for a motivated Product Owner (m/f/d) for 40 hours/week to start immediately or as soon as possible.
Tasks
- You will be a part of a multi-national product management team and help build products in our email security, backup, and GRC suite, as well as internal tools.
- You are responsible for collaborating closely with product managers to understand the product scope and objectives that must be achieved.
- You will be a conduit of information and will be the interface between the product management team and the product development centre (PDC) teams.
- You will be an essential part in the daily life of the PDC scrum team and actively participate in their ceremonies.
- You are responsible to define how to reach designated business and product objectives by writing detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- You will Ideate, visualize, create wireframes, procure mock-ups, and define features needed to reach objectives in close collaboration with product managers as well as PDC team leads in line with the product strategy.
- You will own and manage the assigned product backlog, track requests, plan scrum team sprints and sprint goals, and ensure that your PDC teams have a steady stream of achievable tasks.
- You will perform user acceptance testing and review developed features based on the defined acceptance criteria to reach and accept product shipping criteria.
- You are responsible to review escalated issues, qualify, and prioritize, as well as managing scrum team maintenance backlog and new feature development efforts in accordance with deliverables required by product management.
- You convincingly communicate the product vision and motivate the development team in every sprint to give their best reach desired goals.
- You are experienced in technical support, service desk, software development, or have considerable knowledge and passion for product and technology.
- You have a degree in computer science, completed education, or comparable knowledge in the technical area.
- You are passionate about product design, product lifecycle, and user experience.
- You are an avid problem solver and are quick on your feet. Breaking down complex problems and tackling them logically.
- You are a highly organized and structured person. You chase your own deadlines and provide updates upfront.
- You can justify and present both technical and functional decisions or instances, to discuss with developers on an equal footing and to show your creativity when developing new solutions in a transparent and goal-oriented manner.
- You are self-motivated, a great team player, but can also take responsibility and work independently with minimal supervision.
- You are a quick-learner and are keen to expose yourself to new technologies and ideas.
- You are proficient in document structuring, can work under pressure on concurrent projects, and comfortable respecting deadlines.
- You possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You have two or more years of experience working with SaaS products.
- You possess experience in a similar Product Owner role.
- You are familiar with Atlassian Confluence and JIRA tools.
- You have good German skills.
